Best Practice
From the very beginning, LabPi was developed for teaching practice. Each sensor opens up new experimental possibilities for classroom teaching and higher education. The examples below show how the system can be used productively.
Materials and experiments
SEN1: Temperature
Investigation of the exothermic and endothermic dissolution of calcium chloride and calcium chloride x 6H2O in chemistry class. The results can be combined with a Styrofoam calorimeter to determine lattice energy.

SEN2: pH value
Simple investigation of the pH value of common everyday materials such as citric acid or baking soda.

SEN2: pH value
pH titration of a strong acid (hydrochloric acid) with a strong base (sodium hydroxide solution).

SEN2 & SEN4
A model experiment on ocean acidification that investigates the reversible storage of carbon dioxide in water.

SEN3: Conductivity
Conductivity titration of a strong acid with a strong base to determine the equivalence point and the amount of acid present.
